Tap into the best of the Rogue Valley’s food ,drink and music on the 1^st Annual Brews, Burgers & Bluesgrass as Thrive kicks off Medford Beer Week at the historic Hanley Farm. Sponsored by Green Hammer, event proceeds go to Thrive’s Local food program.

8 hours, 4 bands, 16 Rogue Valley micro brews on tap, 5 unique burgers from local ranchers. Southern Oregon wine & root beer, family fun!

Music by: 8 Dollar Mountain, The Turner Moore Band, Siquoia & Siskiyou Summit. Breweries participating: Wild River Brewing, Southern Oregon Brewing, Portal Brewing, Fire Cirkl Meadery, Conner-Fields Brewing, Caldera Brewing & Apocalypse Brewing.

*Marquis Event – Deschutes Brewery Kickball Tournament @ Schoolhaus Brewhaus: 11am – Dark

Bring a team (7-11 people) or play some pick-up. Deschutes tastings at home plate and second base hosted by Deschutes’ Chad Travartini. Two fields will be set up, and if there are enough people and teams there will be a basic bracket with the winning team getting the Deschutes Kickball Championship Cup. Enjoy a BBQ Chicken and Rib dinner as well as appetizers cooked with and paired  with SOB beer on the Centennial Golf Club patio.  Live music by Jon Galfano.  Putting  contest and a “splash for cash” pitching contest.  Draft and can samples as well as discount pints of SOB beers.

10 contestants in an eating challenge to see who finishes the Big Ass Burger first. Beer specials throughout the evening.

 

Heart Of Darkness Ale Trail from 5 to 9pm

An ale trail that forms a continuous loop from Beerworks to Portal Brewing, and Bricktowne Brewing. The participants will be provided with punch cards and will receive a punch on that card when they purchase a minimum of one pint of any dark ale, from browns to porters, cascadians, or Stouts, at each facility. At the final stop on their trail, starting point does not matter, they will enter their filled punch card into a drawing for the following prizes to be given at each participating spot;

1st Prize = 25 dollar gift certificate, 75.00 dollar value
2nd Prize = Empty Growler, 18.00 dollar value(3growlers, one from each place)
3rd Prize = One Pint from each place free, (value varies by choice of pint)
